Prompting and Documenting the Return Toward Normal Function (homeostasis)

Instant Feedback System

Practitioners opened new areas of study and care upon introduction of the microscope, X-ray, and MRI.

Similarly, the Instant Feedback System™ opens research of previously unseen phenomena at the conclusion of years-long chronic pain. PhotoMed's multi-spectral tools record the steps taken to prompt the return-toward-normal function.

The Vari-Chrome® Pro and Instant Feedback System™ are the first tools to enable relational studies among multiple impairments and sources of pain experienced by each person.

The I nstant Feedback System ™ records the steps taken to prompt the return toward normal functions. The Platform collects data in real-time for research or for sharing with patients. Patients report the importance of the recordings to them when the try to explain how they improved so quickly. PhotoMed’s team used research data from real-world people to make the therapy more effective and efficient.

The Instant Feedback System™ enables researchers to efficiently anticipate, prompt, and document outcomes for each treatment during each visit. The multi-spectral System can synchronously re-play data and images recorded in real-time, including the wavelength from the Vari-Chrome® Pro, thermal images, 4K x HDR monochrome images, and other electronic sensors.

For example, the Vari-Chrome™ Pro enables efficient examination of:

  • effects of different wavelengths in the same person during each visit

  • responses to therapy for multiple impairments in the same person

  • changes during the restart of non-healing wounds during a visit

Our discovery methods enabled our team to converge on the 5 pre-programmed selections built into the Vari-Chrome® Pro.

We can help pioneers get started by sharing some of our 18-years of recorded data.

Let PhotoMed's team customize its modular system to save you time and money to get started making discoveries. Here are some of the features:

  • Available with the original light generator or the Vari-Chrome® Pro

  • Synchronous imaging with the 4K x HDR monochrome camera, USB camera, and other electronic sensors

  • Chart notes, SOAP notes (subjective, objective, assessment, plan), narratives with importance tracking, questionnaires and case report forms

  • A flexible symptom tracking system for volunteers with multiple disorders

  • Body part treatment location input for each treatment

  • Treatment parameter selection, past treatments

  • Thermal imaging camera data, we offer a range of ICI cameras. Visit ICI.

  • Video module simultaneously presents live-view and adds time line data, such as treatment parameters, to the recording for later replay

  • Room humidity and temperature.

PhotoMed's Unique Personalized Therapy

The Vari-Chrome® Pro lets the practitioner personalize therapy using different wavelengths via 5 pre-programmed settings or manually selected wavelengths that remain steady during therapy.

Silicon Valley’s quest for speed inspired PhotoMed’s therapy. Why not vary the wavelength during therapy?

The Instant Feedback System™ records wavelength and frequency in every image during therapy to unravel the mysteries that become visible at different wavelengths.

For the first time, operators can easily observe fresh exudates as they enter a previously non-healing wound. Exudates are barely visible in red but appear dark in yellow or green wavelengths. For moist wounds, exudates begin to appear within the first 4 minutes.

Have you been waiting to see wounds resume healing?

If your first try didn’t work, would you like to try a different wavelength?

Learning from Real-time Recordings

PhotoMed's team began its pioneering trek by examining warming of painfully cold limbs. The people endured years of impairment associated with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS or RSD), Raynaud's syndrome, diabetic neuropathy other central/peripheral disorders. By examining responses based upon warming, the responses were the same irrespective of the cause of coldness. Today, we recognize that the responses mark the return-toward-normal function.

Synchronized warming (parallel trend lines) reveals exquisite coordination and control among sensing and vascular systems. Lighter gray is warmer. Who will perform the first brain imaging of these events?

This example illustrates the utility of objective feedback that becomes available within a 3-minute cycle. Treatments can typically be stopped after the practitioner observes a rise in temperature.

Tx1-Tx3 were different colors applied to the same location. Tx4 was the Tx3 color applied to a different location. Tx4 parameters had previously been found to frequently prompt the warming. This experiment tested fully intentional treatments that did not "work" before trying the setting thought to be more effective. These methods enabled our team to reduce the galaxy of possible adjustment choices to a mere handful.
